Step into a realm of enchantment and creativity as we invite you to a weekend devoted to crafting your very own mystical mask and headpiece. Let your imagination run wild, drawing inspiration from dreams, visions, natural elements, and an array of craft materials to conjure up a mask that’s uniquely enchanting.
During this workshop you’ll be guided through the process of using plaster bandages to shape a mask that effortlessly conforms to your head and face, offering a strong foundation for your magical masterpiece. With this foundation in place, you’ll have the opportunity to infuse your mask with enchantment by painting, adorning and weaving in materials to bring your mythical creation to life.
Gina Chase and Stephanie Marchal will be guiding you through this process. This weekend will include journeying and deepening to find elements and clues to reveal the essence of beings yearning to manifest through each of us, a shared lunch, and an invitation at the end to don our masks in community to express these being together through movement.
No artistic experience is necessary.
About the Leaders
Gina Chase
Gina Chase is an artist and teacher living in Victoria. She has a Diploma of Fine Arts from Kwantlen University, and a BFA from ECUAD. She works in several mediums including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, and jewelry making. She draws inspiration from the natural world, the inner world, line, pattern, story, colour, and mystery.

Dr. Stéphanie Marchal
Dr. Stéphanie Marchal is a registered psychologist working in Victoria. Her practice focuses on relationships, attachment, trans-generational trauma and transitions/transformations. She is a wilderness personal guide, and studied with Animas Valley Institute and Francis Weller among others.
